AccoFloc®
Clay-Based Flocculant Aid
AccoFloc products are high-swelling, sodium bentonite clays selected for their unique ion exchange capability found only in the Black Hills regionof western U.S. The ion exchange capability allows AccoFloc to increase clarity and remove trace metals from water or wastewater.
AccoFloc is offered in two forms, 350 and SDG. AccoFloc 350 is a highquality powdered sodium bentonite chosen for its flocculation characteristics.
AccoFloc SDG is a high-quality granular sodium bentonite manufactured as an agglomerated product which allows it to immediately disperse when mixed with water. SDG does not clump when added to water therefore does not require specialized mixing equipment to create a slurry.
AccoFloc must be used in conjunction with polyelectrolytes or inorganic coagulants to create a floc. It is normally premixed with tap water to five-percent-by-weight slurry and is never added directly to a wastewater stream in dry form. After approximately two hours of hydration time, the resulting slurry can be metered into the water or wastewater treatment mix tankat a rate of 200 ppm to 500 ppm.

Wastewater and water flocculent aid added to current treatment chemistries to meet the increasingly stringent water quality.
